Chasing Chipmunks

A spacious home perfect to ring in the new year! Kitchen was fully equipped. Bathrooms had extra towels! Mountain View was perfect! We will hopefully be back soon!

Lovely home with all the amenities for cooking and relaxing.

We had a really pleasant stay overall. The home was clean, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. While the décor and furniture aren’t the most updated, everything was functional and cozy, which made it easy to relax. The carpet could use a deeper cleaning, but it was obvious the owners take pride in maintaining the home.The space itself was peaceful and very roomy — six adults stayed comfortably, and it could easily accommodate even more (up to eight couples) without feeling crowded. The beds were comfortable once we adjusted the mattress pressure to our liking, which was a nice feature.Overall, it was a quiet, comfortable place to stay, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Our family enjoyed our time here. Beautiful views, spacious rooms and well-stocked kitchen. Our only issue was with the light switches! Either several lights were out (some did flicker in the dining room and the power went off for a few hours once) or we could never figure out how to turn them on. Old dimmer switches were hard to move in the entire house; would be great to change those out and label the switches.

We loved the property, the first night was a little rough, the power room was locked, which prevented us from having power in the kitchen and one of the bedrooms, once that was completed we had a wonderful time. If was so hard to say Goodbye. Thanks

The house was just as beautiful as the pictures indicated. There was plenty of room, the beds were very comfortable, the property manager was very responsive to our needs. Everything was clean upon arrival, and the instructions all worked as written for access to things like the TVs and wifi. We loved our stay and plan to return.

What a great house. The kitchen is amazing and I can't say enough about the view from the windows. The family room was so inviting.

We have stayed at several different cabins in Big Canoe. This cabin was really more like a house than any of the others…. Spacious, tastefully furnished and well appointed with everything from extra kitchen utensils/pans to fluffy towels. The views from all over the house were spectacular! Loved the swing on the second deck! It was clean all over, including the outside decks which has not always been the case in previous rentals. We had a wonderful time and definitely will want to stay at Chasing Chipmunks again!

Chasing Chipmunks was beautiful! I feel photos do not do justice! We were in love with the view, the kitchen, the peaceful surroundings . The house is almost on top of the mountain , which we did not know ahead, so it was a great surprise! Definitely need a strong car to make it up to the top, but it was well worth it and was amazing surprise for us! We loved the home and would return in the future!

This home was immaculate and views of nature, the lake and sunset was divine! The bedrooms and bathrooms well maintained and clean. Finally, the kitchen is a great space for cooking, and entertaining. Thank you, for making this birthday a memorable one!

Amazing upscale in the mountains experience. We enjoyed our stay!

View was great. House was spacious. All appliances worked. The cleanliness could be improved. Carpets were marked up, cob webs and lots of spiders, found 3 bottle caps on the floors throughout the house and one in a trashcan. For paying 175 for cleaning fee it should be well cleaned.

The drive to this home is not for the faint of heart- had we known, we wouldn't have booked it. Beautiful home though. We did have issues at the North Guard gate when we arrived. The very rude rude lady told us we weren't on the guest list and made us leave. Then upon calling the rental company several times, one of your customer service agents told me, and I quote, "in the future you should get us your car pass list sooner"- as if it was my fault because a week wasn't ample time to get you our info. I wish I could recall her name, because all your other agents were wonderful and very helpful.

THE GOOD: The property is spacious with enough room to spread out and come together. Each bed can raise/lower the head and feet. There were plenty of pots/pans/dishes/silverware. There is a garage with one parking space. There is an office space with an elliptical machine. There were plenty of towels and extra bedding for cold nights. You could see the thought put into ensuring you would enjoy your time at the property. THE NOT SO GOOD: The water pressure in the kitchen was only a slight stream. The garbage cabinet was filled with trash from previous guests. The refrigerator was dirty. The countertops and dining table were not clean. The floors were not swept. There was a sticky substance on the carpet under the dining table. There were spiderwebs and dead spiders. The beds are extra-extra firm. There are so many light switches without labels and there were a lot of light bulbs that were either out or missing. Couldn't get lights to work on the upper deck. Parking can be tricky if you have more than three cars. The lack of cleaning puts a damper on things especially when you pay for cleaning and would expect to receive a clean property in return. We enjoyed the stay overall.
