Wonderful place! Highly recommend staying here. It’s easy to get to, centrally located and easy to walk to other destinations like the park and trailheads.

Great quick stay and conveniently located in big canoe.

Great location and close to many walking trails, a playground, and other amenities. The inside was clean and tidy. No complaints!

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway at Big Canoe - pro tip for renters, there’s multiple properties with a very similar address in this community, so be careful when searching for the property to make sure you arrive at the correct one. Property looked just like the pictures and was a relaxing setting!

The house was lovely and the views and environment were serene and peaceful. Big Canoe is definitely a nice getaway. I would go back for a second stay in a heartbeat. Hard to beat sipping a cup of coffee in front of the “fire”place while watching the sunrise from the couch.

This place exceeded all expectations. The property was breathtaking, weather was perfect, there are a billion activities to do within walking distance, super safe. The house was difficult for us to find, as 40 Treetopper Circle does not exist, nor does 40 Treetopper Lane. Also, the 40 in whatever street this is actually on is snug right next to number 52 and 23 so don't look for corresponding numbers. EXACT INSTRUCTIONS TO GET TO THE HOME- once you pass the gate, stop at exactly 3 stop signs. once you get to the third it is going to fork into 3 directions. Take a left at this stop sign and go up a hill, which will immediately have a sign with the street names and a ONE WAY on the right. TAKE A RIGHT ONTO THE ONE WAY STREET. The sign will say "Treetop Knoll" with an arrow pointing to the one way so you will not think this is your street but it is. park in an unmarked spot, and the entrance to 40 is next to 52.

Beautiful place, awesome location. Easy to walk to hiking trails and parks.

Everything was smooth and easy. The property owners were very accessible and responsive when we needed them. Great property!!

It is was a fantastic stay with a couple of minor issues that kept it from being a 5 star review. First, the chalet and its parking area was not marked like all the other places around. There was not a sign for the parking area like the neighbors and when turning on to Treetopper lane, the railing unintentionally hid the post with the house number. This caused us to miss the house and go around because of the one way. Second, the key and lock was tricky and with a little bit of jiggling the cabin will not stay locked. Recommend replacing with a better lock. The main bathroom shower did not drain properly. Other than these issues, the area was beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. This is what we needed.

My daughter and her family enjoyed their stay at Chalet 40. The only annoying issue is the lights for the kitchen do not work. She stayed there last year and recalled the same issue but did not mention it to me thinking it was the bulbs were out. I reported it and was told to look around for the switch. Trust me - every switch was tried before I reported it and asked for help. Please fix the lights.

Great little place to stay served us for over 30 day stay only issue was I had unclog broken glass out of dishwasher and the lighting in kitchen area was poorly other than that good little place to stay

Quilts and blankets on beds were less than satisfactory for cold weekend- one puff quilt on one bed and one coverlet on the other- other than that clean and lovely- needed warm bedding and comforters heat was very dry

It was a trip. Not very happy about our first time stay. The sliding door would not lock. We called that Monday our first day there for maintenance to come out but we never got a call back until 9:30 that night but maintenance never showed up. I called Tuesday morning at 8:00 am. Finally got a called around 10:30 that he was coming out to fix lock. Plus we showed him the lights and fixture hanging by wire and was told. We fix that after you leave. To me that was a fire hazardous plus We were told It’s very safe and you do not need to lock your door. This is 2024 and it’s not safe anymore. I always lock my doors. There were several lights in chalet 40 that does not work. There is a light in the king size bedroom that is hanging by the wire the cabin had a bad smell and I went and bought plug-ins to make it smell better. The bathroom across from the king size bedroom had a smell. There were plates that still had food on them I have took several pictures if y’all would like to see it. A anniversary trip we won’t forget. The cabin cute. But wasn’t clean .

Nice facility but could definitely use some upgrades and attention for the value and price. . Towels - cheap, thin old 2. Soap for bathrooms cheap and small 3. Exterior spot lights not all working. 4. No toaster oven 5. Parking for specific unit not marked 6. Bedding did not feel clean.

Stayed here for the a wedding and had quite a few issues: 1. Address of the property was listed as 40 Treetopper Lane, when it shows up as 40 Treetop Lane in Google maps, which made finding the place confusing 2. The door would not lock to the place, I tried both using the key and flipping the lock inside, but it would never latch closed, so the place had to be left unlocked the entire stay unless we were inside and had to use a wooden rod to lock things 3. The towels that were provided smelled dirty and had a weird smell to them when using them after taking a shower. The overall Big Canoe property was nice, but wish there were more sidewalks. The trailers were great, but walking around on the roads can be scary with no sidewalks.

I really don’t leave negative reviews but here goes… The rental process was extremely difficult as was communication that came afterwards since there were two entities sending and requesting information. We arrived to find an extremely dirty place, a nonfunctional wifi, and no communication with Georgia Cabins for You after emails for assistance. The main bathtub didn’t drain for hours. The dishwasher didn’t clean dishes (dishes on shelves were dirty)nor did it drain. The refrigerator and oven were nasty as well. Floors were sticky and covered with “dust bunnies”, dog hair and people hair. The shower curtain and liner, and window treatments were also very dirty. For some reason some of us had issues with charging phones even after trying multiple outlets. They were able to charge in the car. I was appalled when I saw the sign on the refrigerator that stated you could be charged for certain repair requests. We didn’t get what we paid for (as advertised). I definitely would not recommend renting from this company.

As frequent visitors of Big Canoe, we enjoy staying in different cabins to experience it all. Unfortunately, staying in this cabin did not match our expectations. Immediately upon opening the door, we were hit with a pungent mildew smell. The smell was so bad that our clothes had to be taken to the dry cleaners upon our return home. The bedroom sheets, pillowcases and comforter were covered in dog hair & human hair. The bowls staked on the shelf were filled with water and dead bugs were found on the first plate stack. In one of the bedrooms paper towels were used to “seal” the upper part of the window. One of the bathrooms shower would not drain, making it impossible to take a shower. Very disappointed in this rental.
