Great place. It feels very secluded and was great for our group.

The community is fantastic. Lots of wildlife and peaceful. The cabin had comfortable beds and well a equipped kitchen.

The house has the perfect balance between coziness and luxury. Great kitchen. Nice furniture. Very clean. Loved the large living area with fireplace. Big Canoe is perfect for old and young with plenty of things to do. Hikes, swimming lakes, rock slide, restaurants. Wellness center. Just beautiful.

This was a very spacious house, with well-thought-out bedrooms. The kitchen was equipped with everything at Chef would need. I am a chef, and my family did cooking every day and night comfortable furniture, great TV. This house was a true value.

We were 2 families staying together and the place worked great for us, it was stocked with everything we could possibly need and it was very comfortable and clean. The surrounding area is stunning with lots of nature hikes and outdoors things to do with families, we loved it.

Staying at this charming cabin was a great decision! The cabin is beautifully furnished and extremely clean! The view from the decks is so peaceful, you can hear the water splashing from a nearby creek. The kitchen was fully equipped and furnished with brand new Samsung appliances. They even have a Nespresso coffee machine and a regular coffee maker. We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners, including a BBQ on the upper deck and had a movie night on the downstairs deck.They have an outdoor TV mounted on the wall. The cabin is decorated nicely. Made us feel at home. There was enough space for the 6 of us, plus our dog. The kids loved the downstairs area to hang out and play board games at night. Big Canoe has great amenities. Our kids loved the rock slide and the paddle boats. We can highly recommend the close-by hiking trail to the Waterfalls! A supermarket is a 10 minute car ride away which was convenient. Overall, this was a great experience. We will be back!

The photos are really pretty and they do a great job of highlighting the best points of this cabin. It is east-facing, so the morning light is breathtaking. The kitchen was nice and there were many lovely decorative touches, but it was a bad fit for us: between the lack of consistent heat and the many concerns that we found with construction, we were not comfortable. The thermostat was set to 58 degrees Fahrenheit (it was in the low 40s outside), and automatically reset itself, so we had to turn it up multiple times a day (and at night!). The management company tried to fix it, but was not able to help as the thermostat was controlled remotely (surprising--all our other interactions with CFY have been great!). The middle floor bedroom and the bedroom below are porches that have been enclosed. They have the original doorknobs and weather stripping (so you can lock someone into the bedroom from the sitting area, but you can't lock the door from inside the bedroom for privacy) and neither bedroom is connected to the HVAC system, so no heat at all. A space heater was provided, but we were uncomfortable using that in a cabin made of wood. The HVAC system worked on the middle floor--there was a significant difference between the middle floor and the top or the bottom floors. If the middle floor was at 70 degrees, upstairs baked, while downstairs froze. Other concerns: --The clawfoot tub looks great, but wasn't functional for us. --None of the wood paneling/baseboards/roof beams were finished wood--all the nails/tacks were in plain view and the cracking of the wooden roof beams was clearly visible. --Dryer is on 2' stilts, so I couldn't reach the buttons. Had to find a bucket to stand on. --No curtains on the upstairs bathroom window by the toilet. I think if we had gone in the summer, the thermostat would have been less of an issue--there are lots of ceiling fans and most of the positive reviews seem to be late spring/summer. We would not be back to this particular cabin, but we will definitely rent from CFY again.
