Beautiful home in a beautiful place. Magnificent views from every window. Fully stocked kitchen. Plenty of space for 4 women who wanted their own room and bathroom. We loved it. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Faulken Haus! The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and the panoramic mountain/lake view from the bedroom was stunning! The house was clean and comfortable and the woodsy atmosphere and the mountain views from almost every window were outstanding! We would love to stay there again!

The house is located in a very beautiful area, built on a slope, and being inside feels like the home is floating in the air. The views are stunning, and the veranda is a great place to relax.The house is in good condition, heats well, fireplaces work, and water pressure and utilities were reliable. Parking was easy, with space for up to four cars nearby.The grill area and the grill itself need improvement, and the fireplace in the master bedroom did not work.Overall, a cozy home in a great location with beautiful views.

Mother-in-law suite down stairs was pretty dusty and could use a good vacuuming and floor cleaning but the main floor areas were clean and the same as last year. It was like coming home. We were very pleased to stay again. The previous renter left an outdoor can full of trash but we took it off with ours. (Always leave a place better than you found it) We noticed a leak down stairs in basement bathroom ceiling when someone was bathing upstairs. Would stay again. Our Family of 8 adults were very comfortable here.

The home was beautiful and we perfect accommodations for our party. I would recommend spider treatment. There were cobb webs and spiders everywhere we couldn’t go onto the deck because of the massive spider webs. The stairs leading down the back of the property the landscaping and debris haven’t been cleaned in awhile so we weren’t able to see where it lead. We felt safe and had the things we needed inside the home and enjoyed the property amenities the clubhouse was excellent food & service. Mike at the marina was so friendly and helpful.

Its a beautiful house in a beautiful location looking over multiple mountain ranges and the lake. :) On a clear day we could just see the building outline of Atlanta from the two high chairs on the back deck. We both enjoyed the open kitchen. We hope to be able to visit again in the future.

The house was absolutely gorgeous and well priced for a weekend stay with a group. Was awesome that they allowed dogs, and I wish we would have been in the house for longer. A few of the amenities didn't work, including the fireplace in the master bedroom or the steam shower settings in the shower. If they did work, they were complicated enough that there should have been instructions because we couldn't figure them out. Basic necessities that you would expect like paper towels, a coffee maker or shot glasses were not there or difficult to find in the multiple kitchen areas. Despite a code lock on the door, there was no code provided to the get entry to the house, so we just had to leave it unlocked which was worrisome and odd. All in all we all had a great time!

Beautiful view, spacious inside and 1:1 bedroom / bath was main draw for us.. The beds were comfortable. House was clean.However, the driveway, walkway and back porches were full of leaves and debris…my guests had to sweep them off. The patio furniture on both bedroom porches were old, lounge cushion was ripped up and moldy off master bedroom. Patio furniture on front patio was not set up, no cushions.Everything needed a power washing.One bedroom upstairs did have any window blinds and basement blinds were broken. In kitchen, Keurig is on its last leg, missing bottoms to all Tupperware, and fry pans need replacement, Teflon peeling off and cast iron pan was ruined. The ice machine in bar area was frozen full. Sewerage smell from back deck after guest showers and dishwasher…house needs a declutter and to remove all decades of old rustic decor… owner needs to pay attention to these details, competition is fierce in Big Canoe,

The house itself is amazing. However, inside it definitely needs a lot of TLC. It's like the owners bought the house and rushed it to become a rental without taking care of the little things - for example: The lounge chairs outside off the master bedroom are torn up. The bed upstairs in the guest room was sooo unstable, it felt like it was going to collapse (not exaggerating). The backs of the kitchen table chairs felt like they were going to fall off. The screen door off the master bedroom was stuck. The faucet in the master bath tub fell off. There are stains on the rugs and carpet. It was also a bit disappointing that the goodie bag to welcome us was two packets of laundry detergent (that we're required to use to run one load of towels before leaving), two Keurig cups (for a four night stay), bars of hand soap and two super thin trash bags for the kitchen trash can (of which we were required to bring to the dumpster by the entrance). Really. For the amount we paid, this was a bit disappointing. Further, when we arrived, the hand soap in the kitchen was almost out and the replacement soap under the sink clearly had water added (and that was almost out!). The paper towels were so thin, and we literally had 5 sheets left on the roll with NO replacement. The amenities in the house did not match its view or price. With that being said, we'll look to visit again but bring our own basic supplies.
