Hidden Haven

We had a great time at Hidden Haven and would definitely recommend it. This isn’t a complaint—just a couple of suggestions that could make an already wonderful stay even better.It would be a great idea to add a curtain in the upstairs bathroom, as people outside can see in when the lights are on. Also, adding a set of pots, pans, and serving spoons would be very helpful.Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and these small touches would make a big difference.

Hidden Haven was a wonderful place to spend our Thanksgiving with family! The cabin was so cute and comfortable! Loved our stay!

We had to evacuate from Florida for the hurricane and this was the perfect retreat for my family. Beautiful area in Big Canoe. Cabin was clean and peaceful. The hot tub was great. We didn’t get to enjoy the air hockey table. Not sure if it was user error or the pucks were too heavy for the table/not enough air coming through? Either way, we had a good time. Hiked, paddle boarded, etc… overall, great stay! Thank you!

The cabin was very clean and inviting. Beautiful scenery from every room and long-range mountain views from the master bedroom and hot tub. 5 stars all the way! The Big Canoe community was lovely, and we enjoyed seeing the bald eagles on Lake Petit and lunch at the Black Bear Pub.

I am thrilled to share that my third stay with Cabins for you at Hidden Haven in Big Canoe was just as enjoyable as the previous ones! It's always a pleasure to know that the cleanliness and tranquility of this property continue to meet my family and friends' expectations. The fact that the drive is easy also helps. Staying here was peaceful and quiet. We're looking forward to many more stays in the future.

Great property with great amenities in the cabin. We will definitely be back!!

This was a nice getaway for me and my friends. When we entered the property everything was nice and clean. I liked the open bunk room for the kids. This makes it super easy to keep an eye on them and still entertain on the back porch with a large Samsung television, hockey table, and dining table to eat. I also enjoyed the hot tub that sits right in front of the porch, we were also able to watch the tv on the porch from the hot tub. I will be staying at the property again

We enjoyed staying in the nicely decorated home in Big canoe. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day with family hiking and cooking at another home. We would stay again.

We usually stay in BlueRidge but Big Canoe was a nice change. Hidden Haven was a peaceful, clean, cabin that was nicely furnished. The kitchen was well equipped so it made meals easy to create. We had a great time peddle boating and kayaking. The only regret I have is that our stay was short and we didn’t get to hike more of the trails.

We had an amazing time. The house was fantastic and the hot tub was pleasant. I will definitely be recommending.

We had a great stay at Hidden Haven! It was a great get away for our family of 4 plus dog. We enjoyed the trout fishing, boat rentals, dog park, and lake beach in the community. The only downside to the home was the lack of blinds or curtains in the Master Bath upstairs. While the trees provided some cover, the glass shower was in direct line to the windows that faced the next house and street above. We got creative with hanging towels to help block but it was certainly odd to have that open. The house itself was great though and our upper elem/middle school age kids loved the air hockey and video game machine. We had a couple bug issues with a hornet in the master the last night, which forced us to move down to the main level, and a scorpion that stung one of us in the living room. It comes with the territory in the woods though and certainly will make the trip memorable. Overall, it was a fun stay!

The house and the location are absolutely gorgeous! It was so quiet and peaceful, and we were able to just relax and unwind after a day of adventuring.

The cabin was is located over a gorgeous overlook that allows you to truly taking a beauty of North Georgia and Big Canoe. Entering the driveway was intimidating for some of our family members, but added to the adventure for most.

Cozy house, will visit again!

Honestly, we had a great time at this cabin. Nice private location. Beautiful surroundings and comfortable place to stay. No major issues like those presented by other reviewers. Very minor “annoyances” if anything (hot tub could have been cleaner, and the place does have a sort of mildew smell in the basement…not unusual for a basement). My teens had fun. We visited the Beach club ($20 per person, but worth it for all the fun things to do). Things to know; you’re deep in this wooded community. 10min to Dollar General, and 20min to the closest grocery store -Lowe’s. Not gonna find Walmart or anything like that nearby. *Very important to note- you MUST use the Main gate to exit (North gate). My GPS sent me to a random back gate when we left, where you can call a number…but they WILL NOT open that gate for you. You have to turn around and drive back through the whole winding precarious route to the main gate. Wish that had been mentioned in the info somewhere!

Good stay. When driving to the property, remember to slow down as you approach; it is easy to miss the driveway and then have to back down the hilly street. Overall, it is a nice, comfortable and quiet place.

Overall, the house was fine. Our son was disappointed the arcade didn't work(this was one of the reasons we chose this property). We really liked the neighborhood and amenities. The property manager was responsive. Recommendations to the owners/prop mgr: a pole on the sloped corner of the driveway entrance would be very helpful; please install blinds or curtains in the master bath - anyone can see in the windows; the portable AC unit in the master was great, but the gaps around the window insert allow hot air and bugs in (I stuffed these with paper); please get better pans - 1 has non-stick coating chipping and the cast iron isn't being properly maintained/seasoned; mice are getting in the kitchen and leaving droppings on the counter & in the cabinets; the electrical cord is missing to the adjustable master bed; the master bed comforter could stand to be replaced; and the Christmas decor on the mantel could be taken down. All that being said, these are easy fixes, and we would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay. there are two things I need to express about our stay. 1) The lock to the patio top deck was broken and could not be locked. We didn't feel comfortable with that. 2) The Video Game didn't work. We had a nice time & will return, Hidden Haven is a very nice cabin/house. Thank you.

Cabin was great. Would’ve been 5 stars but the arcade machine only worked for two days of our four day stay which disappointed my son.

I'll start with the pros! The hot tub, air hockey and arcade game were a hit!! Large patio great for morning yoga, coffee and meditation. Everything was clean and ready when we walked in! The hiking trails are beautiful and plenty of them. My pup had a great time, everyone kept their dogs on leash and were respectful when passing. Now the cons, only a k-cup coffee machine. The temperature difference between the floors is drastic. We slept on the bottom floor because the heat upstairs. The driveway is hard to see due to an overgrown bush and hard to see coming out of it. Suv or truck recommend. They were also out of trash bags (probably a One time thing) but you need them for the check out. Overall great trip will recommend!!

The cabin at Hidden Haven was cozy, well designed, well stocked, and gorgeous! The kids loved the games provided and the hot tub was a win for everyone. Our friends that slept in the primary room complained of the lack of blinds/curtains because the sun was hard to ignore in the early morning. We also found that the coffee table was pretty but not functional at all with little kids- it toppled over numerous times and became a hazard we had to move out of the way. Otherwise we recommend the stay!

This is the second time I have stayed in Hidden Haven for a board retreat. We were there when the temps dipped into the teens. While the heat pump couldn't keep up, but Georgia Cabins For You staff came to the rescue! Katie responded quickly and with solutions to make the rest of our stay comfortable. As the cook of the group for the weekend, the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. It is in desperate need of a new and expanded set of pots/pans and cooking utensils. The hot tub is always a hit for this group too!

We found this house needing a good cleaning inside and out. There are no curtains on windows even in bathrooms! The stairs going up and down are very steep,definitely not conducive for elderly or young children. Could not use the grill because ran out of chips first night. Besides the grill was filthy! Probably would not stay in this cabin again. Need new pots and pans!
