Hillside Manor

Our family weekend reunion was perfect for our group of 16 ranging from 2 years to 70. It rained hard for a whole day yet we still had fun due to the tremendous space opportunities in this gorgeous home. It’s filled with beautiful furniture and art and each bedroom has a television and loads of room for relaxation. We will be back!

This house was perfection for our 9 adults and 7 kids! Great spacious rooms, multiple refrigerators and lots of living rooms. The kitchen was well stocked with baking, cooking and cocktail needs. The hot tub was super fun for the kids. We loved the yard and saw deer and a black bear! Bathrooms were clean. We would recommend more soap/detergent for a house this size but otherwise no complaints.

Hillside Manor was an ideal property for our large group of 16 (mostly college‑aged women). The house is extremely spacious, offering plenty of areas for group gatherings as well as quiet corners to be alone. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were, and we all slept well—except in the Terrace two‑queen bedroom, where one of the beds squeaked enough to make the roommates laugh.We cooked two large meals during our stay and found the kitchen well stocked. (We didn’t locate a colander.) There was also ample cabinet space for storing our own supplies. Having two dining tables plus an outdoor eating area was a big advantage for a group our size.I had been concerned that four full bathrooms might not be enough for 16 people, but it turned out not to be an issue at all.The only unexpected surprise was that a couple of the listing photos didn’t match the current setup. The dining room had only eight chairs instead of ten—which we needed—and the master bedroom no longer had chairs by the window. This made it difficult for my husband to work comfortably during my meetings, as he had to balance his laptop on the bed.Parking was easy; being able to use the garage freed up space in the driveway, and we were able to fit all seven of our cars. And the hammocks were a huge hit with everyone.I highly recommend Hillside Manor for large groups. It’s comfortable, spacious, and well‑equipped.

The kitchen was extremely well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. Most of the furnishings were basic, but the main 3 bedrooms were really nice. The deck was very well furnished and enjoyable. It was nice to have access to the kitchen through the garage. Overall, we would say it was a very nice vacation rental home.

Rooms were very clean( few stains on carpet, squeaky floors). Hot tub was nice, kitchen had all the utensils we needed and left over spices which were nice. Nice having 2 washer and dryers for large family and we enjoyed going on the lake fishing twice. Would rent again. Thank you.

Great stay at Big Canoe! Lovely community and great house that accommodated our family weekend with multiple families and generations to please. Great views including wildlife watching. Loved the deck and hot tub too. Only con was no propane for the grill so had to cook our steaks in the oven and out of hand soap in several of the bathrooms. Overall, a great stay would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time. Quiet, clean. I would recommend a few more large serving spoons. I made the arrangements and my team loved it!!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Hillside Manor. The home was very large and spacious, and the view was absolutely amazing.

We stayed at Hillside Manor for our family Thanksgiving. There were 12 of us: 7 adults, 3 teens and 2 tweens. The home has great space for us to gather or have some alone time. The setting is beautiful with views of the mountains from the back of the house. The 6 bedrooms accommodated our family well with adequate beds for everyone. The kitchen is quite large with lots of space to move around and prepare large meals. It was quite cold during our stay so we didn’t spend much time outdoors. The yard is large with 2 hammocks out back. The decks are also spacious with lots of seating. We had 4 vehicles and were able to keep 2 in the garage and 2 in the driveway.

Fantastic back porch, lots of space for a big crowd, and easy activities nearby!

We celebrate my mom 100 Birthdays. Best time of her life. Beautiful place. Thank you

Beautiful place to stay

We had 15 guests and the house accommodated us all very well. The house was just as described and the surroundings were fantastic, we even saw several deer when we were out on the deck. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.

The place itself was amazing had a lot of family come and they enjoyed their stay... beautiful views, lot of rooms, hot tub, basement with pool table, games... Overall was a memorable and great stay.We had a few challenges getting to the place since it was later in the evening and raining but once we saw the video created by the host it made sense and we were able to direct all our guests to do the same. We hope to be back for another visit.

This is our family’s second year at the property. We enjoy the spaciousness, game area and hot tub. Already planning next year!

We had 16 ladies here for a birthday celebration and the property was perfect. Plenty of space, beautiful views, well stocked kitchen, and close enough to a couple of great wineries (highly recommend Cairn View) and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!

Great stay. More beds than I realized and could easily sleep 20 people. The kitchen is so very well stocked. Sound does not travel throughout the house so it was easy to get a good nights sleep. We saw several deer. There are no walking trails on the house property, but could easily get to the area's trails by a less than five minute drive. The gas stove and fireplace saved us this winter as there was a lengthy power outage during our stay. It is well stocked with games as well.

Our family group of 14 has now spent Thanksgiving at Hillside Manor for two years in a row. There is plenty of space for time together and also spaces if you want some solitude. It is a lovely home in a beautiful location. Some of our family enjoyed hiking to the falls. We loved all the extra warm blankets and the welcoming feel of the entire house. Lots of room in the kitchen for meal prep and card playing!

We came into town for my daughter’s wedding and decided to rent a big enough house for our immediate family. Hillside Manor was the perfect place! Not only was it on a beautiful piece of property, but the house was beautifully decorated and provided enough space for us to make precious memories that will be forever cherished. Would love to stay there again someday!

Met all of our expectations and the view of the mountain was an added bonus. Highly recommend. Very easy to access the property with great privacy. My family of 13 loved every bit of our stay.

We absolutely LOVE the house and recommend it as a first pick! If you’re considering staying anyplace else, let me help make this easy for you. This house and host are a “no-brainer” first choice pick, hands down! We have a 12U AAU basketball team, and we travel very frequently. This house and host rate amongst our top 3 places! The house had plenty of space for all of our players, coaches, team moms and rotating parental helpers to spread out! It is in a secluded, neighborhood in the mountains, which gave us privacy, peace and tranquility offered by nature as well as the option to interact with neighbors through the amenities. In addition, the house comes loaded with board games, card games, and a PS 4! The backyard is spacious with an upper and lower deck and plentiful, comfortable seating, fire pit and hot tub! The only issue we had was a slow check in. The gate guard didn’t have our pre-provided names for entry, but it was resolved in minutes of calling the number provided. 5 Stars

The house had plenty of room for our huge family! Everyone had their own space and comfortable beds! We would love to visit again !

We have a very big family and this house was perfect for us. The pool table, card table, and hot tub were a hit. The bedrooms were spread out on three floors so we were able to put our grandchildren to sleep upstairs while others still played pool or used the hot tub; we didn’t have to worry that the noise would wake them up. Would definitely rent Hillside Manor again!

Our family enjoyed the house, its surroundings and all the furnishings. Well equipped kitchen to prepare meals. Very spacious living areas and bedrooms. Loved all the storage! Hot tub was used by all and was a big hit! We were treated to seeing a Momma bear and her little cub walk through the front and back yards! We will definitely love to return to this house for an extended stay; our long weekend was just a teaser!

All in all very good. When we arrived we discovered that there was not enough cutlery to cover our group of 16 even though he property listed occupancy up to 16. Initially the manager said they had no one to deliver the additional forks and knives but in the end came through. One of the half baths on the main floor had what appeared to be vomit on the wall. We cleaned it up and carried on. The door that goes out to the garage has about a two inch gap between door and floor allowing a lot of really cold air into the kitchen making it hard to heat. All in all a very positive weekend.

We had 16 including a 2 year old, teens, 20's and adults. Room for everyone, beautiful wooded setting in one of my favorite areas of North Georgia. Spacious kitchen for all our cooking and places for everyone to sit for family meals. The 2 year old loved the enclosed sunroom area and was happy to hang out there most of the time with all his toys scattered about but out of the way of everyone else. Teens/tweens took the bunk room and mom with the 2 year old had a fabulous upstairs bedroom with futon so she could keep him away from most of noise when everyone else was playing games and pool in the terrace level. Everyone loved the hot tub & it was just a great time to connect with family, chill and enjoy the beauty around us. Our son paid $20 for a day fishing license at Disharoon lake & caught 4 trout (the limit for a day pass) and we cooked them up for dinner. Fabulous time had by all.

Great rental!

We booked this vrbo for a family reunion that was long overdue and it was the perfect size to accommodate everyone! All the beds are very comfortable and everything was decorated so nicely. Only issues we had were there not being any hand soaps in the bathrooms due to them being empty, low propane on arrival which was fixed the next day, some spider webs in the downstairs bathroom that had not been taken care of and tv connectivity issues. Overall such a nice and relaxing stay!

Beautiful place with gorgeous views!!! Well kept, clean and very comfortable. We had all the kids & grandkids and just had a memorablelong weekend together!! Thank you!!!

Great place for large groups! Had comfortable beds, clean upon check in and fun amenities! Only thing is the fire pit was out of order but, Georgia CFY was great about communicating the issue to us before we arrived and made sure to let us know what to expect.

Loved the beautiful spacious hime with our large family! Plenty of space for eating, playing, socializing, sleeping. Trendy and relaxing feel. We had a great time.

The house was gorgeous and very spacious for our family

The home was a good size for our family and very spacious. There were a lot of things to do inside the home. From games to movies to seating to anything a family needed; this property had it! Communication with Kevin was really timely and good. He was able to accommodate our request and provide quick responses.

The home is spectacular and people went out of their way to make booking and check-in easy. Very clean and well stocked. We were there for an outdoor wedding and loved the clear sunny and 70 degree weather in December! The fire pit at night was one of our favorite ways to make memories with our family.

The property is beautiful and everything was set up for us and was according to plan. Kevin the property manager was prompt with his responses and very professional. The home was fully stocked with pots and pans, condiments, and everything we thought we had to bring from home. My guest and I were so pleased with this experience and will definitely be back in the future

I had an amazing stay for my birthday! The view was absolutely beautiful, and I loved the sight of the mountains. Everything was great, including the decor. The only issue was that the two white chairs I was really looking forward to were missing—Additionally, there wasn’t any dishwasher detergent available, so we had to start the dishes without it. Overall great experience.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely book this place again.

Lovely views (we had a bear visit the back yard, as well!) Lots of space for all of us - we maxed out with a full 16 guests but nobody ever felt crowded and always had a place to be. We had a minor issue with the A/C on the top floor that wasn't initially resolved but we were able to figure it out the morning after we arrived. We would definitely stay again with a large group!
