Beautiful place with amazing view. So relaxing on the deck. Was there for a wedding. Close to Willow Farms, the wedding venue, and restaurants and shopping in Marble Hill. Would love to go back.

We had a group of 10 people, and we enjoy staying at the house. It was raining the entire stay, so we enjoyed the home totally with games and the pool table. Thanks our host for providing all the needs for cooking. The home was cozy. The dining table is big enough for 10 of us.

We were so bummed it rained during our stay, but we still had plenty to do inside. It was spacious and the game room had lots of options. The kitchen was pretty stocked. Everything was cozy! All of our questions were answered quickly. We would stay here again. The only thing I would say is to put the address into Google maps and not Apple!

Me and my family had a great time. The home accommodated all 12 guest in my party. I was told to bring extra things like tissue and paper towels, which i feel should be done by the host especially since the home is so big. But otherwise it was fine. It was easy finding the cabin with no issues. I would definitely say stop at store before arriving so you don’t have to go back down the mountain during your stay. We got to use the fire place which was cool, overall it was a nice stay

Great house and views.

We had a family vacation with my brother, sisters and mother as well as their spouses. We had plenty of space, water was always hot and the bedrooms were very roomy. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. Lots to do in the local area.

I have no words to describe how wonderful it was to be in this incredible place, an apparently rustic environment but clean, smelling, the bedding really smells clean, friends came directly from Brazil to spend the winter holidays and everything was wonderful… thank you to the entire Big Canoe team

Great place for a small bridal party to stay before a wedding at the Tate House, which is near by! Beautiful location tucked away in the mountains and right on a lakefront. The views made me never want to leave!Would definitely recommend and also come back again myself. Thanks for the stay!

Beautiful, large home in a great location within Big Canoe! It was spacious and comfortable. Beds were comfortable with great vetting which is huge to me when it comes to traveling. Great for a large family or multiple families traveling as there’s a large pantry.

The house was perfect for our guests. The kitchen was spacey. There was not any hand soaps in the bathrooms, the carpet needs to be shampooed, the comforters need to be updated, and the shower curtains have mold stains (they need to be replaced). You ask to start the laundry and dishwasher at the end of the stay, but you don't have enough product available.

Excellent location walkable to the beach area and a close drive to everything else. The house sleeps 12 fairly easily so no issues there. There was a couple of small maintenance issues at the property. The master bathroom had an annoying drip and subsequent mold. This is a pretty easy fix. Additionally the chair in the living room has broken feet and probably needs to be changed out. The house wasn’t fully stocked either couple more daily things would have been nice. All in all great stay. This was our third stay at Big Canoe and I really Like this location especially if you have kids. 4 out of 5 stars

The home was nice and spacious. Very nice view of the lake. The oven and burners didn't heat up fast and doesn't get very hot; took what seemed like forever to warm food. There was an issue with large black ants in the downstairs bathroom (few here and there) and in the upstairs restroom floor and on the toilet (much worse 10 or more). I reached out to the host and was advised that the exterminator was just out the day prior to our check-in and I was advised there was spray underneath the kitchen sink. The only spray I found was for beetles; fortunately, my brother had Raid - other than that; the place is very nice and my family enjoyed our time together.

The house was beautiful and so was the area. However, the shower curtain upstairs was dirty and driving the distance to the trash area was definitely unexpected.

We enjoyed our 5th summer at Big Canoe. This was the first time we stayed in Paradise Retreat. The layout, location, and view, were the best. However, the house was very dirty. Our crew had to clean when we arrived.. dirty dishes, dirty countertops, dirty rugs, etc.. The screened patio and deck could not have been cleaned in months. There was heavy dirt and cobwebs that take months to form. The back deck table and chairs were covered in dirt and grime. The outdoor pool table had paddles stuck on the table and was covered in dirt, grime, tree limbs, and twigs. The carpets are black in the main walking areas and need replacing. It doesn't cost that much to replace carpet but replacing with LVT would be best for continued cleanliness. We blocked our toddler from the carpeted areas because of how dirty it was. There is also a dirty stained fabric-covered chair in the living room. Table legs on the dining table were loose and falling off. The patio cushions have seen much better days as well. The primary bathroom shower doesn't have adequate water pressure. (There are shower heads on Amazon that can maximize water pressure). The primary bedroom door doesn't close. We couldn't get one of the lamps to work. And mostly, the bedrooms need curtains, preferably black-out curtains. The sun comes up at 5:45 a.m. and since the pool area doesn't open until 10am, it would be nice to get sleep after 6am. The kitchen is lacking in main supplies such as casserole dishes etc. The oven doesn't work properly. We finally gave up after the first two quiche and casseroles were blackened on the bottom while the insides were raw. The vent on the stovetop is also broken. The refrigerator is missing shelves. Those are easy to find on Amazon. Cookie sheets and pans were corroded, however, when I reported this along with a stopped-up shower drain, it was taken care of immediately. The new cookware is amazing by the way! The departure instructions said to put sheets "only" in the laundry room. Does this mean that the bedspread, blankets, and comforters do not get washed between guests? I sure hope so. I just want to add that I have a lot of rentals and I am not complaining as much as I am letting you know what needs to be done. Sometimes we owners have no idea about the condition of a house unless someone is brave enough to tell us. This is a wonderful home in many ways but needs some love and attention. Our niece rented the home beside this one and it was spotlessly clean, nothing in disrepair, all outside areas were like new, furniture was clean, floors clean, etc.. and it has one extra bedroom and bath and rents for less, so we are comparing Paradise Retreat to Lake's Edge. For the price of one week's rent, this home should be in much better condition. We have put a deposit to use this house again next June because it is next to our other family members' homes and there were no other choices nearby. We hope that this review will have the house in much better shape by then. Thanks for letting us give our feedback.

This rental was advertised as being able accommodate 14 people, so therefore there should have been enough linens and towels for that amount of people. The shower curtain in the basement was moldy and the carpet needed to really be cleaned, making me suspect about how the rest of the place was cleaned. Decks should have been blown off and ready for use, I am glad I brought my own leaf blower and did it myself. The refrigerator ice dispenser kept leaking, I was always mopping up water that dripped down. And this must be an old issue as the wood floor right there shows some damage. It was a wedding weekend and we enjoyed ourselves none the less, the rest of the house had some great views, but as a rental agency, the owners should be made aware. Also, it would be extremely helpful if the trash location address could have put in the welcome Bag, all six of my rentals were confused about where it was as the majority came in the main gate and assumed it was there.

Wasn't satisfied with the cleanliness of this unit at all I've been going to Bitcoin for the past 5 years and I have always been pleasantly pleased at the clearness of the unit
