Serenity Ridge

Very nice living and sleeping areas. Nice that the back was screened so our dog couldn't stray out. Little concerned with the extreme slope of the property, especially from the parking area. It was mentioned in one of the communications but still a surprise. We really had a great time and loved the screened deck. We would book again.

Incredible views and peace and quiet. Quaint cabin in the woods with everything you need.

Big Canoe is a beautiful committee and this property is in the back where it is serene and quiet. The property was perfect for us for a fall getaway. The instructions listed that there would be keypad on the door- there wasn't. We had to locate a combination lockbox near the door and figure it out ourselves. There was a moment of panic there that we wouldn't be able to get in! The roads are extremely steep getting to this location and the driveway is insanely steep. We parked in a pullout next to the house rather than use the driveway. I would not want to navigate this in ice-y or very wet conditions.

We had a great time. Our cabin was very clean and comfortable. The views were beautiful.

This cabin was beautiful, spacious, nicely decorated, and well stocked. The kitchen had lots of useful tools for preparing meals. A note to other guests- be sure to check your directions well before arriving as the house is near the top of the mountain. I recommend going over the dam versus other trickier routes your gps may suggest. You can call the front gate of the resort for assistance if needed. I would also recommend arriving before dark your first night. As a bonus, the wifi worked very well even in the mountain area. We all had a great stay and were very comfortable.

Really sweet basic cabin/accommodation. Nice time even though in-climate weather and chilly-All in all though, exactly what I needed, quiet simple and rustic long weekend!

Upon arrival found a nice clean cabin but found parking a little challenging. Back door was open as we entered the cabin. The steep stairway leading down to the cabin was not lighted at night making it a safety concern. Difficult to manage with luggage. Overall, great stay, would not recommend to those that are physically challenged due to the difficulty with entering the cabin. Ideas to make improvements would be lighting the stairs leading to cabin, parking if possible needs to be more accessible.

Unfortunately, the unit did not have ESPN for college football playoffs. I cut my shift short by one day due to this amenity not being available. Very disappointed with my stay.

Lights did not work in main rooms , fire place and washing machine out of order. Had to park away from cabin and walk in the dark down a long slope hill to arrive at the cabin! No lights on the walk way and very dangerous.

The entrance way to the cabin was extremely dangerous. It’s a very steep grade with steps. The steps and pathway are lighted but the lights didn’t work which made it even more dangerous at night. Would have never stayed here if we had known that. Inside the cabin most of the overhead lights didn’t work. The disposal in the sink didn’t work nor did the washing machine. The back yard was all grown up so you couldn’t take your dogs out. The water heater didn’t provide much hot water and water pressure was very low. I called the next morning at 8:00am to get these things fixed or to move us to another cabin and they denied my request. The property manager came by later in the morning to look at steps to entry. She placed reflectors on each step but they didn’t work because there is no light out there at night. I don’t understand why she didn’t send someone out to fix lthe outdoor lighting. All in all it’s was a terrible trip and we will never return. We will also tell or friends about the trip. Everything that was broke in this cabin should have been fixed before we arrived. The property management company for this property is ripping off the cabin owner by not keeping the property up. One final note that property should never be a rental because of its dangerous entry which could get someone hurt very badly and provide a law suit for the owner and property management.
