Tucked inside the Big Canoe community, Long & Short of It puts your group within easy travel to the communities resort-style amenities. The Big Canoe Clubhouse and Lake Sconti are just 3.1 to 3.7 miles away, offering dining, swimming pools, tennis and pickleball courts, golf, fishing, hiking trails, waterfalls, a wellness center, and more, all within the gates.

Back at the home, the open main level keeps everyone together whether you are cooking, sharing a meal, or settling in by the fire. Vaulted beamed ceilings with skylights and a dramatic floor-to-ceiling stone gas log fireplace give the living room a warm, mountain feel, and the layout flows naturally into the dining area and kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for your group, with a large island and bar seating, stainless steel appliances, a dry bar, and both a Keurig and drip coffee maker. The dining table seats 6, and a sliding glass door opens directly to the back deck for easy indoor-outdoor flow. When dinner is done, pull out one of the provided board games and linger a little longer.

The main level offers two bedrooms, including a king master suite with a sitting area, TV, and direct access to the screened-in porch, plus a private ensuite bathroom. A second main-level bedroom features a queen bed, TV, and a desk with chair, with a hallway bathroom nearby. Upstairs, the third bedroom is tucked under an A-frame vaulted ceiling with 2 full beds, overhead reading lamps for both, an antler chandelier and a private ensuite bathroom.

The back deck is the social hub of Long & Short of It. Step outside and you will find two great spaces to enjoy.  The screened-in porch offers a comfortable dining and lounge area with a TV, with direct access from the master bedroom. Just outside, the covered back deck has a gas grill, a propane firepit, rocking chairs, and lounge chairs, perfect for relaxed evening under the trees. A covered front porch with outdoor seating is the perfect spot for morning coffee surrounded by peaceful wooded views.

This pet-friendly vacation rental also includes free high-speed Wi-Fi, DirecTV on all TVs (including the screened porch), a private EV charging station in the covered carport, keyless entry, parking for 3-4 vehicles, a washer and dryer, and board games
