Sunrise Ridge

we were very pleased with this home. It said 5 bedrooms and I was a little nervous because I only saw 4 bedrooms in the pictures but there was 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths. It was plenty spacious foe the 9 of us that were traveling together. There were 3 different common areas so the kids were able to have some space to themselves as well. There was a lot of patio space, some screened it, although we didn't use it kuch because it was cold. We were able to see deer one morning which was awesome. The resort has a lot of amenities which I think would be great to explore further in the summer months. We were able to do some hiking and that was nice. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pans, so we were able to cook for ourselves there. We were not prepared for how hilly the driveway/street was, but thankfully we had a 4wd, so we were ok. Glad there was no ice! We were very pleased overall with the rental home and would stay there again.

This place is super nice and clean. Lots of room and spacious. This will be our second time here and with a full crew. The parking spots will hold a 3500 Ram megacab and 3 jeeps. Just an fyi.

Our family enjoyed a nice 4 night stay. The kitchen was well stocked along with each bedroom and bathroom. It was nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom too. The open plan made dining as a family a breeze. We would not hesitate to stay again. The gas grill could use a maintenance check, it didn't work perfectly but it got the job done. Big Canoe is a great location for a family vacation!

We had a great time even though our stay was only three days. The sunrise was amazing and the views spectacular.

We enjoyed every minute! The only minus is parking but we survived! Liked it being closer to Lazy Lodge.

This house was a good location in close proximity to golf, the park, and marina. The house had everything we needed for a long weekend, and there was plenty of room for the 3 families to spread out.

Lovely home with lots of beds for a large family. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare a meal. Our visit was in June so leaves were on the trees and the mountains were not visible from the home. Easy accessibility to marina and beach club. We had a great time. A couple of things to note: one that the driveway is at a bottom of a hill. If there are cars in the neighbor’s driveway, you have to reverse up a hill to exit the home. Like anything, it gets easier with practice, but took maneuvering the first (or second) time! The other small negative is that the home came with a starter supply of toilet paper, dishwashing tablets, and garbage bags. We had to buy more during our stay. We also needed to supply soap for the bathrooms.

Pros: My daughter and her bridesmaids stayed here before her wedding. It was the perfect place for them. Cons: There is limited parking (barely 2 cars). It was difficult for us to manage transportation to and from the wedding without being able to park at the cabin. The address for the cabin didn’t work in our GPS so the cabin was hard to find. Everybody had trouble finding it! Still giving it a 4 star because it was clean, met our needs, and was comfortable once we were there.

We enjoyed our festivities at our wedding event this weekend. We did need to downgrade our rating on our accommodation experience mainly for three reasons. First, location of this home is very clunky .... sitting at the dead bottom of a steep hill .... and making it extremely difficult to navigate arriving/departing the home. There is no "turn around" spot ... so, I had to carefully back the car down the hill in order to have a depart the home. Doing this a 10pm is crazy due to darkness. This was not advertised in any way .... and we spoke to another guest having the same complaint. Secondly, we were disappointed that we had to wash one load of towels and wait until complete so that we could load the dryer. This was stated as a requirement on the refrigerator door. That is so unlike every other rental we have experienced. Time is important to us ... so this was an un-welcomed surprise as part of the instructions. Lastly, housekeeping. We expected to the entire home to be ready for our arrival. However, the decks/porch were full of pollen. We should not arrive having to "wipe down" furniture. Pollen is normal ... but the readiness of the property fell short. Also the dishwasher was not empty upon our arrival. We would have expected those dishes to have been put-away prior to our arrival. The quality of the home was good. The couches in the main floor were dated. I hope you do not mind the feedback -- as it gives you an opportunity to consider adjustments in the future.
