Concerts, Weddings & Services at Big Canoe Chapel

Big Canoe Blogs - The Services at Big Canoe Chapel - Banner

Lovingly referred to as the heartbeat of the Big Canoe Community — a vibrant gated community with tons of fun amenities north of Atlanta in Dawsonville and Jasper, Georgia — Big Canoe Chapel boasts a multi-denominational congregation that welcomes all ages and backgrounds to join their Sunday morning services. Plus, you can attend seasonal live music events, plan a wedding, or donate time to help serve local Appalachians in need. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia, the Big Canoe Chapel is a great place of spiritual growth and peace to check out on your next mountain getaway.

Multi-Denominational Services

Welcoming people from all walks of life, Big Canoe Chapel invites you to participate in worship services, prayer, and a sermon with Bible scripture every Sunday morning. Whether you’re in the Big Canoe Community for a romantic retreat with your partner, a family vacation, or a getaway with friends, you can enjoy a peaceful start to your Sunday at the Big Canoe Chapel — a multi-denominational church.

Can’t make it in person? Watch the live stream of the second service while hanging out at your Big Canoe cabin rental. At Big Canoe Chapel, you can also take part in Bible studies — including a men’s fellowship and a women’s guild — and learn ways you can help this Appalachian community and people in the surrounding areas while in town.

Stewardship Program
Aside from member ministries — including 2 choirs, church parking assistance, cart services, sound system work, Bible teaching, youth programs, event planning and coordinating, plus local and global outreach — here are some ways visitors can allocate time, tithe, or talents to the Appalachian community through Big Canoe Chapel.

  • Giving Christmas gifts to local children
  • Packing shoeboxes for kids around the world
  • Aiding mission trips
  • Participating in Paintfest
  • Contributing to the library
  • Helping with home repairs
  • Serving food for others
  • Donating blankets
  • Hosting youth car washes
  • Fundraising for local charities

Terrace Concerts

Host of the annual summer concert series in the Big Canoe Community is none other than the Big Canoe Chapel! Copycat bands belt out beautiful performances at the Big Canoe amphitheater — aka The Terraces at Big Canoe Chapel — while you relax or boogie on the outdoor dance floor. Proceeds from the Big Canoe terrace concerts benefit local charities in Dawson County and Pickens County as well as some non-profit organizations around the world, so it’s a great way to give back while enjoying quality entertainment on your Blue Ridge Mountain retreat.

What to Expect
When attending a Big Canoe terrace concert, we recommend carpooling to avoid crowded parking. You can bring folding chairs, blankets, and refreshments (large coolers are not allowed). While you cannot bring a folding table, picnic tables are available at the venue. And sometimes there might be a food truck!

Tailgating is allowed at The Terraces, so you can eat and listen to music, then find a spot along the amphitheater steps if you like. Only service animals are allowed inside the venue. And you’ll be pleased to know there are full bathrooms on site.

Terrace Concert Tickets
Tickets for The Terraces summer concert series can be purchased online for $20 or at the gate for $25. Kids 13 and under are FREE!
