Stars Align Cottage

Our group enjoyed the open floor plan of the main floor and the screened-in back porch. Lots of space to come together and watch TV and play games. The house was very clean and the kitchen was stocked with anything you may need during your stay.

We had such a lovely time here! The house is beautiful and the location is very peaceful. One of our favorite spots so far!

We had a great stay at this cabin in Big Canoe. It was very clean, uncluttered, and well stocked with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the host is prompt, and the space was relaxing and peaceful.

This home was absolutely beautiful! We stayed here with our dog and we were very happy to find that the home owners provided a gate to block the staircase leading downstairs. Our dog is slightly blind and has never been around stairs before so we felt so much more at ease being able to block that off safely! Also they provided a dog crate incase we had to leave our fur baby behind which is very helpful one less item to travel with in our car! Everything else about the home is well kept and very clean! When we plan another trip to Big Canoe we will absolutely look to book this home first!

If you are ready to experience living in the trees and feeling at home you must stay here. We absolutely loved it and will be dreaming of that screened in deck for a while. Super peaceful with ample hikes around.

Lovely home with everything you need for a wonderful getaway. These hosts are very thoughtful and their home is exceptional. We spent many happy hours relaxing on the porch, playing games, and eating. We will gladly rent this home again and recommend it to other families. So very quiet too!

Fabulous stay at Star’s Align Cottage in Big Canoe. Peaceful surroundings with plenty of hiking to do right in the community. Extremely clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep. Space was wonderful for relaxing after a day of hiking and fun game nights! Communication was excellent and very timely! Would highly recommend for future stays!

The home is beautiful and well maintained. The pantry contained a few essentials that we very much appreciated as we had forgotten to bring a couple of things. The screened in back porch is lovely and relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect end to our busy days while there. I would definitely love to return soon!

Beautiful place and well appointed. Make sure you hit the grocery store and have everything you need because it’s a very windy road into the area so not easy to run out for something forgotten. That being said it’s very quiet and peaceful as well.

This stay was absolutely wonderful!!! an abundance of options for comfort throughout the entire home. Stocked with all the utensils you could need for cooking every day and I love to cook!!! They even provided some beginner cleaning products so that you don't have to go into town every time you need something. I took this little mini trip with a friend and it felt like a romantic get away with room to spare. Will DEFINITELY be booking this cottage again in the near future for an entire week at least.

Booked this property last minute. Having lived in BC for 7 years I know it well. I no longer live there but come back often. This place is my favorite yet. Plenty of space, Great cooking with a gas stove and a screened porch in the trees. Well appointed quite comfortable. I will definitely be booking again soon.

We loved Stars Align Cottage! Beautiful setting and so relaxing...our dog Scarlet loved the wild turkeys and deer. If you want a place to just kick back and recharge, this is it! Truly a cozy and comfy cottage.

Wonderful property! The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, there’s plenty to do (board games, movies, the hot tub!), lots of towels. The furnishings are nice and the tv’s are new / smart tvs. Outside, you can see deer and birds! You are nestled in the forest.

We spent a month here and really can’t say enough good things. The house is beautiful and feels cozy…like a real home instead of a sterile rental. It also has a very well equipped kitchen if you like to cook. We really enjoyed relaxing on the screened in deck and using the hot tub. This house is perfect for family gatherings. There’s plenty of room for everyone but still has some separation to get away. We very much enjoyed our time here and hope to come back again one day!

We loved our stay. Cottage was perfect. We loved the hammock, how functional the space was and the layout of the house. It was perfect for my family. My kids loved the hammock and the TV in the screened in patio. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. It was just perfect. This has to be our favorite cabin at Big Canoe. We have stayed many times at different cabins but we just loved everything about this one. We also loved how private it was. Would stay here again.

We booked this property on a whim to visit GA for a quick get away and it was absolutely amazing. The photos online do not so this home justice AT AL!!!! It’s gorgeous, very spacious, clean, warm and inviting. I can’t go on enough about how perfect this home is, the kids loved exploring the woods around us while the adults enjoyed winding down in the hot tub. Nothing was spared when setting this property up with all the amenities and accessories you didn’t even know you wanted in a rental home. The owners have done such a great job at creating a beautiful welcoming home. We can’t wait to come back

This house was spotless and well supplied for all your cooking needs... more so than any other house we have rented on VRBO. The setting is peaceful and very relaxing. The owners were great to work with and incredibly prompt in answering our questions and requests. We will be staying here again!

Our family had a great time here. The cabin is an hour or less away from great activities like Helen, waterfalls…and of course the lake, trails and playground in the community. The best was spending time in the hot tub in a cold, rainy day!

My experience was somewhat unusual...the place definitely was secluded...first few days were rainy and foggy...roads difficult to navigate...EMT and fire station staff were great...experienced a heart attack while on "vacation"...you'll have to ask the rest of the family how they enjoyed their stay :}

This is second time we have stayed in this cabin and really like it. It’s very clean and well-maintained. The bedding is very comfortable and all the kitchen and linen is adequately supplied. A very nice hot tub which looks new. We will definitely rent this cabin again.

We live in Atlanta and took the opportunity to stay in big Canoe for a wedding nearby. Took a quick drive to blue Ridge. It was absolutely beautiful. Other than the fact we never could figure out how to turn on the TV is the place was perfect. We didn’t need to be watching TV anyway

We always enjoy our stay at this home. It is the best place for relaxation. It did rain a bit, but that did not hinder us from having a great stay!

We were in town for a wedding. Property was immaculate and very comfortable. We didn’t get a chance to use many amenities of the cabin or the community but it looked like it would be lots of fun!

Comfortable with everything you will need for a nice vacation. A good distance from entrance and exit to BC but worth the drive. Good beds, linens, towels, cooking supplies. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time. The house was perfect for our multigenerational family vacation. It was better than advertised with good communication from the owners. The only thing we wish we knew prior is the beach is under construction so the picture with the inflatables was not accurate for the time we stayed. Overall great experience! The community is very nice.

We recently stayed at this incredible home in the amazing Big Canoe community. We have two children (ages 2 and 4) and the house and neighborhood was absolutely perfect for us! My favorite part was the huge screened in porch where we spent a lot of time listening to the birds and hoping to see some cool animals walk by. We actually did see a bear one day! TOTALLY AWESOME! The home itself was absolutely gorgeous and so comfortable and cozy. We may want to come stay again! Thank you!

Very enjoyable trip. House was great and had everything we needed. Big Canoe was new for our family and we plan on returning. Only downer was that one of the lakes was closed that happened to have the beach, rockslide, water toys, etc.. we didn’t realize until we arrived. Still an amazing trip and we intend to come back to get the full experience. Thanks again!

A wonderful home in a peaceful woodsy location with ample space and amenities for our kids and parents. Canoeing, fishing and walking trails nearby that we really enjoyed. A short drive to Amicalola Falls. Grocery store and a few dining options nearby. The pools and rock slide look like fun, but weren’t open until Memorial Day weekend. Staying in this home made the trip so comfortable!

Stars Align is a great choice for a family looking to have a nice relaxing vacation. The open floor plan on the main floor is great for hanging out together. The location is prefect as well. It is on an easy drive around the lake to the house and is really close to anything you would want to do in Big Canoe. Property owners were also very nice and helpful on letting us extend our stay. We would highly recommend picking Stars Align for your vacation spot.

Beautiful house! Very comfortable - with thoughtful touches (coffee beans, grinder and French press out - comfy blankets for snuggling by the fire). Wonderful screened porch. We loved it.

We stayed here for my brothers wedding that was at the Willows Farm not too far away. We had his rehearsal dinner at the Lake Sconti clubhouse, which was gorgeous! Jennifer was very responsive - my dad wanted to come hang at the cabin for a bit and we needed his name added to the gate list for him to be able to come in - she responded right away and added him without hesitation. The cabin was beautiful, clean and had everything you could need! Will definitely be coming back to stay again. Thank you!!

We are a group of college students on a Young Life team from UGA, and we rented this house for our team retreat weekend. It was so perfect and snowed while we were there, and we loved hot tubbing while the snow fell around us. Clean and nice and the owners were responsive. Thanks so much!

My family stayed at Stars Aligned for one week (December 26th-January 1st). We had a very nice time. Every thing was just as described in the listing. Very clean and very comfortable. The back porch was great, too. The only issue we had was that because of weather ( there had been some icy conditions earlier), when we arrived at the Big Canoe gate, only property owners were allowed in. Thank goodness we are property owners. Otherwise, we would have been turned away. We never heard from the owners so I am assuming there is a camera or some other device that let them know we got to the property? It would have been nice to have gotten a message saying that the road conditions were not great and people were not being allowed inside the gates. We live 90 minutes away and our roads were perfect. It would have been a bummer to have been turned away. Just something to keep in mind if you visit in the winter.

Stars Align is all one could ask in a mountain vacation house!! It was clean, and I am picky. The kitchen was excellently equipped with not only every needed pots and pans but also electric gadgets including carving knife and water heating tea pot. The beds were comfortable and the bed and bath linens of great quality. The screened porch is a plus with a small child, or folks wanting some space. Hot tub is HUGE. House was perfect. Big Canoe- this was my first time there- has everything one needs- hiking trails, water falls, golf, club dining, kids playground. The drive to the house was easy- the roads are not to steep, all are paved and well maintained. The drive way is essentially flat. Be sure to do ALL your shopping before coming to the house- it is a 15 minute drive to the IGA, which is well stocked. Highly recommend this property.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our week in this luxury home set in the woods of Big Canoe. The peace and quiet and the relaxing forest views were exactly what we needed. Owners were very easy to work with. Cabin had everything we needed or could think of needing. More than enough space for just us 2 but could easily see this accommodating 2 families if so desired. Highly recommend and would stay again if visiting Big Canoe in the future.

Cottage was nicer than we expected! Very clean, modern interior with very nice "outdoor room". All amenities were as advertised. Very nice property in Big Canoe. Owners/manager were great to work with and flexible.

Well stocked, clean, comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. We couldn’t get the TV to work except for you tube and Netflix (but it was owners’ profiles for the latter so we felt weird using it). North gate is closed at night, must use main gate to enter. I think the cleaning fee should include disposing of trash and recycling and stripping beds, rather than guests have to that.

THE HOUSE IS BEAUTIFUL! THE WEATHER COOLED SO WE WERE ABLE TO SPEND MOST OF OUR TIME ON THE SCREENED IN PORCH-I TOLD MY GRANDDAUGHTER IT WAS LIKE A TREE HOUSE! WE ALSO ENJOYED A PONTOON BOAT RIDE ON SUNDAY MORNING-SO PEACEFUL.

If you’re looking for a peaceful, private setting this is the house. Down the driveway, tucked in a blanket of trees, you feel like you’re in a beautiful treehouse! The porch was my favorite spot in the house! On the lower level there a fantastic hot tub! The cooler temps of the mountain air made it still quite enjoyable in the typical heat of August. The house seemed new and was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this beautiful home.

The pictures don’t do this cottage complete justice. It’s sparkling clean and the screened porch is enormous! All the amenities at Big Canoe kept us very busy!

We escaped for a week away at the Stars Align home. The house was warm and inviting and very comfortable; it was exactly as pictured. It was well-stocked with kitchen supplies and games and DVDs to entertain us in the evenings. Big Canoe has many offerings that our family took advantage of, including hiking trails, pontoon boats, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. The owners were to quick to respond to any questions that we had. We would definitely recommend this rental to others.

This is probably the cleanest rental we've ever stayed in, one of the most well equipped and access to be able to communicate with owners was awesome.

The property owners were flexible and accommodating after the wedding we were attending was postponed due to Covid. Resonded to emails quickly, usually within an hour. Everything in the cabin was in working order.

What a lovely stay to celebrate our sons birthday. We spent two afternoons on the most magnificent (and clear) lake — swimming and boating. The home was clean, cool and calm. We spent a lot of time on the porch reading and relaxing. Fantastic experience!

Very cute little house in a gated community! Hosts were professional, organized and quick to respond. Make sure to read your welcome letter which explains that each driver's name needs to be with the gate attendent ahead of time! We loved it here and would stay again. For a 3br cabin this place was huge-3 stories makes for a much more comfortable stay than most. We comfortably had 8 people.

The house was exactly as pictured. Very beautiful and cozy. The owner was extremely quick to respond to any questions or problems we had and was nothing but accommodating. Was the perfect New Years getaway for our family and friends.

My family enjoyed the property. It was quiet and peaceful. The property was super clean. My only regret was not staying the entire weekend and enjoying all of the amenities of the property.

Clean, well laid-out property. Nice kitchen, big patio right in the middle of a forested area, strong WiFi. The place is ideally located in the Big Canoe, our family of 2 adults and 2 young children enjoyed the cottage and its surroundings. Lots of hiking trails in beautiful northern Georgia. The property owners are a pleasure to interact with.

Place as described - very roomy & clean - kitchen has everything needed other than a blender - Plenty of space for 7 women - back porch was our favorite spot - the only complaint is the fact there is no cable - owner claims to have SLING TV however the subscription was out while we were there but with 7 women in the room who can hear the TV over all the talking anyway. Owner is very easy to reach and communicate with. Big Canoe has nice amenities like the pool, the paddle boats, kayaks & the rock slide is a must try-all a short 8-10 min drive to. Pack your groceries & relax!

Enjoyed the home and the jacuzzi a nice touch!

My husband and I took our 3 sons for a getaway weekend. The Stars Align was absolutely perfect. It was our first trip without our daughter, who’s in grad school, so the surroundings were a wonderful distraction. We felt like we were in the canopy of a rainforest, while relaxing on the back porch. The sounds of the woods at night are special treat, too. We did quite a bit of hiking in Big Canoe and at Amicalola Falls. After spending our days hiking or kayaking, it was so nice to come back to the beautiful home to unwind. We hope to return one day to this treasure which is so appropriately named.

This property was well maintained and we loved staying in the home. We come to Big Canoe regularly and would select this home again.

We had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed seeing a small black bear cruise by in the front yard area along with watching a pileated woodpecker tap away on a deck post. Our hosts were excellent communicators and provided everything we needed (not food) to stay for several days. Driving through Big Canoe can be tedious on the narrow and winding roads, but this home is located close enough to the north gate that it only takes about 5 minutes of travel. The IGA grocery store and a Mexican restaurant are about 15 minutes away.

It was our wedding weekend . Had this beautiful home for the bride and her wedding party for pre wedding night then used for our wedding night after our wedding at Cold Creek Farms. It was so well maintained and was the perfect ending to the Best Day Ever

This was a beautiful home and location! The owner was very hospitable and communicative. It was conveniently located to everything we were going to do. I hope to return in the summer as it seems there is so much more to do in the area.

This was our second stay at the Stars Align, and we continue to love it. Both stays have been during our kids spring break in Florida, and it has been such a good escape from the "endless summer" of Florida. Plenty of low key things to do in the area, and close enough to Atlanta to take advantage of things there also. Definitely want to give a big THANK YOU to the Gwaltney's for offering up such a great place to stay! Hoping we can make a yearly journey out this!

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Well equipped with everything you need for a home away from home. Nicely decorated and up to date. Hot tub was a bonus!

We enjoyed a few days during Christmas break. We were two couples with 3 teenagers and everyone had comfortable beds to sleep in. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to prepare our meals. We enjoyed visiting Amicalola Falls, Dahlonega, and hiking the trails to the falls in Big Canoe. Our daughter enjoyed spending early mornings in the hammock in the back porch. We would love to visit again during another time of year.

We really enjoyed our week. Had a little snafu with the WiFi but Jennifer worked diligently to correct. Be aware the cell service is extremely spotty in the area due to the terrain so if you are considering a rental near this location make sure your rental has WiFi and a landline as back-up. We were amazed with how many things we could do relatively close to this property and it being out of season. We visited Stone Mtn, Amicolola Falls (highest waterfall east of the Mississippi), and Dahlonega (home to the first gold rush) and all is within an hour drive. It was a great time at a great place that has an abundance of wildlife that we got to experience up close - we fished for rainbow trout, saw bald eagles, and each day we encountered turkeys or deer. By far the best surprise was seeing a black bear from a safe distance, of course! Each evening we visited the hot tub to relax and recall the events of each day! Just a magnificent way to spend our week! Can’t wait to visit again!

The house was perfect for our girl’s weekend getaway! It slept everyone perfectly and comfortably. The large screened in porch created such a serene setting. The house sits pretty far in the neighborhood down some long, winding roads, but I think that adds to the appeal of getting away from the hustle and bustle. We could not believe how beautiful the Stars Align cabin was both inside and out. We truly loved our “staycation” in Big Canoe. The Stars Align cabin was very easy to find, close to all of Big Canoe’s amenities and walking trails, and perfect for families and couples alike. We will definitely be back!

We had a great trip, the cabin was perfect !! We hope to come back over the summer to enjoy all the amenities Big Canoe has to offer.

What a beautiful home and one of the most comfortable homes we have ever rented at Big Canoe! Everything you could ever want was there from beautiful furnishings, awesome fireplace, outrageous HOT TUB, and simply the most overall relaxing surroundings you can imagine. HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND WILL BE RENTING THERE AGAIN SOON!!!

Great experience in a beautiful cabin, had everything and more we needed for our family. In a amazing community with so much to do. Didn't want to leave!

The house was beautiful!

Beautiful cabin, very clean, amazingly stocked - especially if you're going to be doing your own cooking. The hot tub is exquisite, and we actually had deer right in front of us! So beautiful and serene. the back porch is an absolute solace - you can't even really see other cabins from that area. Really peaceful and perfect. Things that should be on this listing but aren't: The pool is $10 per day per person. For a family of 4, that really changes the total price of the vacay. Also, there are 3 levels to the house, bedrooms on levels 1 and 3, pets only allowed on "main floor" level 2. People who bring their dogs on vacay are also the type to sleep with their animals. Having to crate the dog all night was a nuisance. Neither of us slept well.
