We greatly enjoyed our stay at the home. It had everything we needed for a relaxing few days away. We cooked often in the house, since most restaurants were a little further away and we wanted to stay in. Listening to the creek and hearing it trickle, even while in the house was our favorite thing! The home is decorated beautifully and filled will lots of natural light. Our only issue was with the heating at the beginning of our stay. The first night was very cold, but the Big Canoe facilities worked to solve the problem the next day. They have 24/7 staff you can call if you need anything. We would recommend and hope to stay again! Make sure you pick up firewood and groceries on the way in. Once you’re at the house you won’t want to leave!

Beautiful home in such a pretty and unique setting. We loved sitting on the screened porch and listening to the sound of the water trickling through the wandering creek going right under the house. The interior of the home is so pretty and offers the perfect casually elegant mountain living style! What a great home base for a fabulous getaway at Big Canoe!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5-Star)

This is a top-rated custom home—the delight was in the details: squeaky-clean and ready for us—gorgeous exposed beams, skylights, comfy upscale decor and bedding, decorated simply without overdoing it…so well maintained….loved the games and books…loved the large, comfy porch….Because we know this is a new listing and have stayed in your homes for 15 years…would love for you to tell the owners that their home is over-the-top marvelous and suggest these additions: rug tape in master bath to eliminate trip hazard of curled rug edge; please add two glass measuring cups to kitchen and maybe add 4-10 more coffee mugs of various sizes—there would not have been enough coffee mugs had we had a full-house of coffee, tea, hot chocolate-drinking guests. (There were only 4 in whole home that we could find). All the hosts’ decor, custom renovations, wall papers, furniture etc are WONDERFUL AND WOW!

Beautiful cabin, restful location

The screened in porch was my favorite place to relax, listen to the babbling brook and watch for the wildlife ranging from chipmunks & birds to deer & a bear. Dinners prepared in the well equipped kitchen, cooked on the gas grill, and shared around a large table in the welcoming dining room provided a great place for conversation. For those who needed electronic stimulation networked TVs with streaming and good wifi allowed them to keep connected to the outside world. This is all packaged in a beautifully decorated home that will made you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door.

The upstairs bed was extremely hard. The thermostat was also on a timer where the heat came on in the middle of the night. We figured that out the first night and shut it down.
